You may have noticed that when you offer PayPal payments in E-commerce, you are asked to provide your PayPal API username, password and signature.
This guide will show you how to get this information.
First, you must have a PayPal Business account. If you do not have a PayPal business account, learn here how to upgrade to a business account.
When you log in to PayPal, at the very top of the page, under More, click on the option Switch to Classic.
If you don't see More at the top, then you are already in classic mode, and you can skip that step.
Next, from the main menu, hover over Profile and select My Selling Tools.
Click on the Update link that shows up for API Access, under the Selling online section.
If you had generated API credentials earlier, then you would see View API Signature. Otherwise, you will notice a Request API credentials link. Either way, click on the link that shows up.
On the next page, click on Request API Signature and click Agree and Submit.
On the next page, you can copy your PayPal API username, password and signature.
