How do I make my Pagevamp website GDPR Compliant? (For businesses in the European Union or doing business with the European Union)

What is GDPR?

GDPR is a European privacy law approved by the European Commission in 2016 which is designed to unify and regulate European union (EU) residents’ control of their personal data. It is set to replace Directive 95/46/EC and will be enforced by May 25, 2018.

What does it mean for everyone?

If you are a website owner and collect personal data via web forms especially from people who live in the European Union, you'll need to make your website compliant to this regulation. It is also important that you update your site's Privacy Policy to cover all personal information that are being collected through your site through any third party add-ons you may have integrated into your website.

How do I make my website GDPR Compliant?

Making your website GDPR-compliant is easy with Pagevamp. You can activate the GDPR Compliance option by going to your settings tab.

1. Enable Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Pagevamp will automatically activate this feature for all websites in the EU.

Note: The default Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy are general suggestions and are not to be replaced with legal advice.

2. Enable GDPR compliance feature. This will enable your contact form and newsletter widget on your Pagevamp website to have checkboxes for agreeing to your consent message.
